Every year during the second week of April, Call Takers and Dispatchers are celebrated and honored for the exceptional job they do as the first first responders. During this week we try to incorporate some fun, food and outside guest along with some contests and prizes. Unfortunately this year with COVID-19 we find ourselves and the center in a position that makes going all out in celebration a bit more difficult.
We had decided as an organization to delay the full week of activities for a scaled-down version that will work with our current restrictions in place. That doesn't mean we aren't still having fun as we've been playing dispatch bingo and had some great BBQ all week!
We will keep everyone posted as to when the full festivities will be so you can stop by and say hello.
